CSW Youth Advisory Board Applications Now Open

Are you a young leader ready to shape the future of LA Pride?

 

LOS ANGELES, CA – Mar. 26, 2026 – Christopher Street West (CSW), the 501(c)3 nonprofit that has produced the LA Pride Parade & Festival since 1970, also engages the LGBTQ+ community year-round because “Pride is not just a moment. It is a movement.” One such engagement is the LA Pride Youth Advisory Board (YAB) an opportunity to bring together passionate, community-driven, young people from across Los Angeles to help inform CSW programming, amplify youth voices, and build meaningful impact through LA Pride365.

The Youth Advisory Board is a place for collaboration, creativity, and self-leadership with other young activists and advocates. CSW is now accepting applications for a limited number of 2026-2027 board seats.

As a member of the Youth Advisory Board, you will work alongside LA Pride’s leadership and community partners to ensure that youth perspectives are reflected in the work we do across Los Angeles.

This is a volunteer leadership opportunity designed to give young people meaningful experience, community connection, and a platform to help shape LA Pride’s work. You don’t need to have everything figured out. We’re looking for civic-minded people who care about their community, and want to grow, get real-life experience, and gain leadership skills.

As a member of the Youth Advisory Board, you will:
• Collaborate with LA Pride leadership on programs and initiatives
• Contribute to community events, campaigns, and Pride365 activations
• Represent youth voices in conversations that matter
• Help shape the future of Pride in Los Angeles

Who Should Apply?

We’re looking for college-aged students who are:
Passionate about LGBTQ+ community and advocacy
Engaged in their schools, campuses, or communities
Thoughtful and creative thinkers who are ready to lead
Open to collaboration and new ideas

Eligibility Requirements
1. Be 18–25 years old
2. Be currently enrolled in a college, university, or vocational school
3. Able to attend monthly Youth Advisory Board meetings (virtual)
4. Able to attend in-person events and volunteer at LA Pride events throughout the year

Applications are open now, and close on June 1, 2026. The 2026-2027 cohort will be announced June 28, 2026 (Christopher Street West/LA Pride Day in LA County)

This is more than a board. It’s a chance to lead, grow, and be part of something bigger than yourself.
