For Christopher Street West Association (CSW), this moment carries special meaning. Our organization was founded in 1970 to produce the world's first Pride parade, inspired by the courage and resistance born on Christopher Street in 1969 in New York City. More than five decades later, that shared history continues to unite LGBTQ+ communities around the world.

Pride has never been just a celebration. It has always been about creating spaces where our community can gather openly, safely, and without fear. When those spaces are threatened anywhere, we all feel it.

CSW-LA Pride stands with the victims, their loved ones, first responders, and Berlin's LGBTQ+ community.

From Christopher Street West in Los Angeles to Christopher Street Day in Berlin, we remain connected by a shared history, a shared purpose, and an unwavering belief that our community deserves to live, gather, and celebrate freely.

If the tragedy in Berlin has impacted you, check in on your friends, reach out to someone you trust, and stay connected to your local LGBTQIA+ community. Pride has always been about showing up for one another, and that work doesn't end when the celebration is over.

LA Pride doesn’t stop at the parade, it shows up for the community too 🌊🌈

Big thanks to Delta Air Lines for sponsoring our beach cleanup this Pride season. Volunteers came together to clean up the coast, swap stories, and prove that pride means taking care of each other and our spaces.
