LA Pride’s Program, “Salon Series” to mark National Coming Out Day
Evening will feature panel discussion and drag performance
Los Angeles, CA – September 20, 2025 – Christopher Street West Association (CSW), the 501(c)3 nonprofit that has produced the historic LA Pride celebration for more than 55 years, will be producing a a new installment of its year-round program, Salon Series, to celebrate “National Coming Out Day.” The low-cost event will be held on Thursday, October 9 at the Andaz Hotel in West Hollywood.
LA Pride is planning a dynamic panel of LGBTQ+ leaders and professionals sharing stories, resources, and strategies for navigating today’s cultural and political climate. The program will include a one-hour welcome reception with one complimentary cocktail, and food for purchase.
The panel discussion will include community leaders sharing insights, resources, and lived experiences. Scheduled topics will include:
• Healthcare access (including transgender care)
• Marriage equality
• Legal rights
• Housing support
• Educational equity
• Immigrant protections
Panelists scheduled to appear:
Oliver Alpuche, Executive Director, DTLA Proud
Christy Mallory, Interim Executive Director and Legal Director, Williams Institute, UCLA School of Law
Dr. Roland Pope, Alliance College-Ready Public Schools
Samantha Koerner, Founder and President, Supportive Allies for Trans Youth
Queen Victoria Ortega, President, FLUX, a division of AIDS Healthcare Foundation
The event host and panel moderator will be drag performer, Mayhem Miller.

Tickets are priced at $10 or $20. Quantities are limited and include a complimentary drink. The event is open to all ages, with 21-and-over in the bar area, please.
