LA Pride x Cinespia Present LGBTQ+ Movie Night

The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert

The Party bus is waiting to take you on a faaaaabulous cinematic ride!

This LA Pride x Cinespia LGBTQ+ Movie Night under the stars at the famous Hollywood Forever Cemetery is the final event of LA Pride 2021.

We’re going out in style with the 1994 classic, The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert starring Hugo Weaving, Guy Pearce, and Terence Stamp as an unlikely trio of drag performers and a transwoman on an exuberant, uplifting journey in a dazzling bus named Priscilla.

The evening will also feature a free themed photo booth, DJs, and dance space where we can all celebrate being together again! Pack a party picnic, BYOB beer and wine, or visit the concessions stand and bar (over 21 with ID, please.)

So gather your dear ones and darlings and get your tickets today. The event will definitely sell out!

LA Pride recognizes and observes World AIDS Day today. LGBTQ+ communities have been impacted and affected for decades, and we hold space to commemorate those lives lost and to celebrate those living and thriving with HIV/AIDS. We also send thanks to those individuals who have dedicated their lives to ending the HIV/AIDS epidemic. LA Pride is committed to organizing and supporting events and experiences for the LGBTQ+ community throughout the entire year.

We are heartbroken to learn that at least 5 people were killed and many more injured at Club Q in Colorado Springs last night. Today on Transgender Day of Remembrance and Resilience, we not only commemorate and honor those lost to transphobia, but we are also sending our love to everyone impacted by this senseless and tragic act of gun violence.

LA Pride strives to create safe and inclusive spaces of self-expression, celebration, diversity, equity, and inclusion for the LGBTQ+ community much like Club Q, and we lend our support to our family and community in Colorado Springs during this difficult time.

In celebration of #TransAwarenessMonth, we have partnered with @neuehouse to present "Todes Juntes: Salimatu, Janpi, Juanita, Honey, Julián, Vertel, Juan, Matti, Alex y yo (2022)”, a monumental public mural on the Sunset Strip by artist Marcel Pardo Ariza (@marcelpardoa). At nearly 90 feet long and 40 feet tall, the mural pays tribute to activists and politicians, mothers and drag queens, artists and writers past and present to show the beauty, strength, and kinship within the Trans community.

Head to our link in bio to watch the full video and learn more about Marcel, the mural, and NeueHouse’s #CaringFutures initiative.
