It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of Troy Masters, publisher of The Los Angeles Blade. Troy was a longtime partner, friend, and advocate for LA Pride, and his contributions to our community were immeasurable.

As a passionate champion of LGBTQ+ rights and visibility, Troy’s impact will be felt for years to come. His unwavering commitment to telling our stories, lifting up voices, and pushing for equality has made our community stronger. We are grateful for his partnership, leadership, and the indelible mark he leaves on the fabric of Los Angeles and beyond.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. Troy will be deeply missed, but his legacy will continue to inspire us all. Rest in power, Troy.
