This year’s theme, “Rise with Pride,” is both a celebration and a call forward. It reflects the resilience of a community that continues to rise through change, through challenge, and through collective growth.

As LA Pride enters its 56th year, the organization continues evolving from a single June celebration into a year-round institution rooted in service, access, and advocacy.

LA Pride 2026 Parade and Village will take place in Hollywood on Sunday, June 14.

Black history is inherently queer history. From civil rights to culture to community care, Black LGBTQ+ leaders have historically been at the forefront of change.

For their February Family Issue, THE FIGHT Magazine @thefightmag features LA Pride Board President Lawrence Carroll @lawrenceccarroll, sharing his journey as a Black gay father and family man, and leader helping evolve LA Pride from a moment into a movement, and into a year-round institution rooted in community, visibility, and impact.

Yesterday, LA Pride showed up at Los Angeles City Hall in support of the TGI Wellness and Equity Initiative led by the @translatinacoalition.

This initiative is a critical first step toward a $4 million City investment in TGI-led and TGI-serving organizations across Los Angeles, supporting programs, services, and organizational infrastructure that strengthen wellness, safety, and long-term stability for TGI communities.

More than 50 community members mobilized, the chambers filled beyond capacity, and the meeting closed with a unified message: Support TGI lives.

This is what community-led advocacy looks like, and we’re proud to stand with our TGI family, always.
