🏳️‍⚧️ Transgender Awareness Week + Transgender Day of Remembrance

This week, we honor the strength, beauty, and resilience of our trans community, and remember the lives lost to anti-trans violence.

At LA Pride, we’re proud to have trans voices represented in our leadership. Our board members Mistress Cyan and Nik Kacy remind us that visibility is more than representation — it’s a call to action, to create a world where every trans person is safe, seen, and celebrated.

As Mistress shared, “Transgender awareness week is a time that reminds people that our lives are real, our stories matter, and our existence is worth celebration. We are real and we will not be erased.”

Let’s continue to lift up trans voices, fight for justice, and build community rooted in care and belonging.

🏳️‍⚧️ It’s Transgender Awareness Week — a time to honor, uplift, and stand with our trans community.

We’re proud to spotlight two of our incredible partners making real impact: SAFTY (Supportive Allies for Trans Youth) and FLUX, both of whom joined us for our National Coming Out Day Salon Series to share their powerful work and lived experiences.

These organizations continue to provide resources, advocacy, and safe spaces for transgender people, youth, and allies year-round.

    🌈⚾️ Did you know?

Before the Dodgers made back-to-back World Series history, two trailblazing players helped make history of their own.

Glenn Burke and Billy Bean, MLB’s first two openly gay players, both wore Dodger blue. Their courage helped open doors for future generations of LGBTQ+ athletes.

We’re proud of Glenn and Billy. Proud of the Dodgers players. And we’re proud of our city.
