Los Angeles, April 9, 2024 – Christopher Street West Association, Inc, (CSW) the 501(c)3 nonprofit that produces the LA Pride Festival & Parade™ is holding a fundraiser event, Countdown to Pride, on the rooftop of The Residences at W Hollywood on April 27 to benefit LA Pride 365, its suite of free, year-round community programs and events.
Donations raised through Countdown to Pride tickets sales, and a silent auction will go directly to Pride 365 programs include:
Salon Series– A quarterly conversation series exploring topics that affect the LGBTQ+ communities, with an emphasis on under-represented folks. Past programs have included Black Queer Creators, Latinx Representation in Film TV, and Media, Lesbians in Comedy, and Queering the Lens, an evening with LGBTQ+ artists & photographers.
Trans Galleria– LA Pride provided installation space for trans artists to show and sell their works, which focused on the unique perspective of the trans experience.
Trans Self-Care Sunday -A wonderful, free afternoon of makeup and hair tutorials, fashion, wellness, and positivity for the trans and nonbinary community.
Pride Makes a Difference– Although funded by sponsors during Pride Month, “PMAD” is a year-round opportunity for volunteerism, donation drives, and giving back to the community. LA Pride has held clothing drives, toy drives, and collected hygiene items benefitting our nonprofit partners including The Laurel Foundation, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Homeless Outreach Program Integrated Care System, and many others.
