Getty and LA Pride Salon Series Present: Queering the Lens
An evening of conversation and celebration
Join us at the Getty Center for a kick-off celebration for LA Pride weekend.
Starting at 6:00pm, a one-hour conversation with three Los Angeles-based photographers—Rick Castro, Amina Cruz, and Texas Isaiah—creating powerful artwork that spotlights and celebrates under-represented LGBTQ+ communities.
They’ll discuss the varied subcultures and personal relationships explored in their work and reflect on how these subjects have forged their art practice.
This panel discussion has been organized by Rubén Esparza of Rubén Esparza Projects.
Following the talk, join a celebration to kick-off LA Pride weekend in the courtyard of the beautiful Getty Museum, view the exhibition Tim Walker: Wonderful Things, enjoy complimentary bites, a hosted bar, and music by DJ Daisy O’Dell.
JUNE 8: Pride is Universal

The LA Pride fan favorite is back and better than ever with Super Nintendo World!
Our after-hours theme park experience is open to guests of all ages and includes park entry as early as 4pm, then exclusive extended park hours from 9pm to 2am!
As always, Pride is Universal will feature live DJs, Universal character meet-and-greets, photo ops, and more musical guests, drag performers and surprises to be announced.
Back by popular demand: the VIP – Universal Express ticket option that includes earlier access to the park at 2:00pm, Universal Express access to the park’s attractions, premium viewing areas at the main stage and exclusive access to the LA Pride VIP Lounge.

Thank you, LA, for making last year’s Parade a wild success!
Over 145,000 of you came out last year to cheer our iconic LGBTQ+ procession as we took back Hollywood Blvd!
We’re planning even more fun and Pride, with extra performances, music, surprises. Grand Marshal announcements coming soon.
Adjacent to the Parade route, we’ll have Pride Village, a free street fair featuring food, activities, live performances and more.
Avoid traffic, street closures and overpriced parking – Go Metro!
Connect to the L.A. Metro B (Red) Line and exit Hollywood/Highland or Hollywood/Vine Station. No matter where you are coming from, Metro has many Park & Ride lots servicing the county – parking is just $3.00 per day, payable onsite.

June 16: LGBTQ Night @ Dodger Stadium
Pre-game Party 5PM, Game 7:10PM
The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence to receive a much deserved Community Hero Award
LA Pride will participate in the 10th Annual LGBTQ Night at Dodger Stadium, and support the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, who will also be attending to accept the Community Hero Award during the pre-game award ceremony. The matchup between the Dodgers and the SF Giants will also include a 50/50 raffle to benefit the Los Angeles LGBT Center, the world’s largest provider of programs and services for LGBT individuals.
The pre-game Pride party starts at 5pm in the right field pavilion with DJ Bowie J!
JUNE 17: LGBTQ NIGHT @ CINESPIA
Gentlemen Prefer Blondes
HOLLYWOOD FOREVER CEMETERY
The stars align for a bejeweled LA Pride night of queer camp gold and silver screen goddesses at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery for the 70th Anniversary of the frothy romp with blonde ambition and brunette bawdiness. Show your love for queer icons Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell and the razzle dazzle that leaves the fellas frazzled.
They’re just two little girls from Little Rock with their minds on some money and new honeys on their minds. Marilyn Monroe is smarter than your average gold digger in a satire on how to get away with marriage. Can she use her blondage to temper the bondage of singledom? Meanwhile BFF Jane Russell is along for the joyride with an eye for passion over pocketbooks. When love goes wrong, Paris sounds right. Ain’t there anyone here for love?
BYO Tiara (Lady Beekman insists) and picnic with beer and wine, or let our bar help you vamp. Ramp up the raucousness with candy sweets and grilled treats from our concessions and food stands. Giggle and wiggle on the dance floor with lux DJ sets to make our Pride Celebration shine. Diamonds are a girl’s best friend in our free Photobooth, so bring the glamour.
