Why participate in LA Pride?
We are Christopher Street West Association (CSW), the 501(c)3 nonprofit that organized the first permitted gay parade in the world. When you participate in LA Pride, you join a long list of nonprofit and commercial activists, advocates, and allies who have supported LA Pride since 1970.
Last year, over 146,000 people descended on Hollywood on Parade Day. Almost 22,000 tickets were issued for “LA Pride in the Park” at LA State Historic Park, the new, sprawling location of our Festival.
This year is poised to be even bigger and better! The Festival is going to be a two-day event, June 9 and 10. The Sunday, June 11 Parade will have new moments of performance and celebration and of course, live television coverage on ABC7, the most watched news station in SoCal.
