LA PRIDE 2014 Dates:  June 6th - 8th

LA PRIDE once again brings the masses into West Hollywood with both the iconic LA PRIDE Parade and the LA PRIDE Festival.  With well over 400,000 attending the Parade and Festival, 2013's LA PRIDE was a success in terms of both attendance and over-all guest experience.  Celebrating diversity and equality have never been so much fun!

The large number of attendees were comprised of the LGBT community, straight allies and a number of celebrities that were there to support and entertain the crowds from Selena Gomez to Maria Menounos, Brendon Ayanbadejo, Christina Milian, Samuel Larsen from GLEE, Richard Simmons, Pauley Perrette and headlining performers Ciara, Kat Deluna, The Pointer Sisters, Chiddy Bang, Luciana, Uh Huh Her and Kerli.  This year's festivities excited not only the local community but also engaged a national audience through media coverage on both the Parade and the Festival entertainment, with the LA PRIDE Parade streaming internationally through multiple media partners.

"For 43 years, Christopher Street West has produced this incredible LA PRIDE celebration.  This year's attendance numbers only reinforce the fact that the community and our straight allies were energized and excited to celebrate diversity and equality," says CSW President Rodney Scott. "Over the past few years, CSW has worked diligently to reach out and include all of our community. Looking back at the images that have  come out of LA PRIDE 2013, I'd say it was rather successful in that regard.  While this weekend's celebration of diversity has come to an end, our collective fight for equality continues on."

This past weekend's Festival and Parade offered a diverse collection of experiences.  LA PRIDE saw the return of many signature events, amazing performances and community partners and sponsors but there were also several "firsts" for attendees including #IMAGINE Lounge, a social media-inspired lounge experience, active participation by the National Guard and LA PRIDE's first-ever Super Bowl Champion.

LA PRIDE kicked off on Friday evening with record-breaking crowds at the signature event, the Purple Celebration, A Party for Women and continued on throughout the weekend. The city-like Festival featured over 180 exhibitors, multiple live stage performances, specialty sections including the return of the hugely successful Latino Carnival by Club Papi and Momentum, a queer art and cultural experience.

Sunday's iconic LA PRIDE Parade featured roughly 130 entries including bag pipes, marching contingents and over-the-top floats all comprised of community groups, businesses and honorees.  On lookers also saw an assortment of celebrities from Grand Marshal Maria Menounos to 2012 Super Bowl Champ, Brendon Ayanbadejo, Lisa Vanderpump, Shahs of Sunset and many more.

"We really strived to create a weekend of events that had a mass appeal," said Patti DiLuigi, CSW Board Member.  "Whether guests were looking to hang out in the park with their kids, party with their friends, check out some serious performances from artists like Ciara and Chiddy Bang, meander through the city of exhibitors and art displays or watch one of the most energetic Pride Parades, there was something for everybody.  We're very proud of our production th
